Gambella Medical Team Connection (GmTc) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with two main goals: To establish a medical school in western Ethiopia, and to improve healthcare for Ethiopian immigrants in the United States, specifically Minnesota.
GmTc was initially created to help Ethiopian immigrants in Minnesota. Please click here to learn more about this important initiative.
GmTc’s team has expanded to include members of the diaspora from South Sudan and others who are passionate about improving the healthcare systems in underserved areas such as western Ethiopia and South Sudan, where the ratio of doctors to the general population is 1:100,000. Working with US partners, African partners and government entities, and other concerned individuals, GmTc plans to start a medical school in Gambella, Ethiopia.
